Rebecca Cambrell

Master of Counselling Practice (current)

I have worked in the field of psychiatric and personality disorders in acute medical settings including geriatric psychology, public health and Aboriginal health and wellbeing. Counselling experience has included individual and group-work. My therapeutic interests include, anxiety and depression, grief and loss, life crises, relationship and sexual issues, trauma, fears and phobias, and existential and faith issues.

Career highlights include being the inaugural Diversional and Art Therapist at the new Royal Adelaide Hospital and working in remote areas in Aboriginal Health.

I enjoy being innovative and creative to help bring about lasting change for people and communities. My drive comes from a strong sense of social justice whilst striving for equity and quality of life for all people.

I have extensive experience being alarmingly human, so I’m empathetic, unshockable and non-judgmental. I take a creative Integrated Therapies approach to help people shift from being stuck to unstuck. As a counsellor I will work alongside you to help you find a fresh perspective to turn struggles into opportunities to thrive.

I don’t have kids anymore, just have two gorgeous adults who have managed to evolve beyond me.
