I have a solid person-centred and collaborative stance; the goals of therapy are set together. The client often guides the direction of healing unless I feel a different path will guide you better. Your story is welcome and can be told without judgment or shame. We can explore family stories, attachments and patterns, investigate your own life's schemas of thoughts and behaviours, or we can simply work on what's bothering you today. You may experience hands-on activities such as the empty chair, art therapy, inner child work, mindfulness, and journal and letter writing to assist in increasing coping skills whilst you are on your healing journey.

I use many different therapeutic approaches; you can expect to experience some of the following:

  • Psychodynamic psychotherapy – attachment, family of origin, intergenerational trauma and stories frameworks.
  • Grief, loss and trauma-informed, somatic and mindfulness interventions.
  • Emotion-focused and meaning-making to assist with understanding feelings and emotions.

I am trained at level 1 EMDR – including memory maps and trauma timelines.
