Master of Counselling Practice (current); Bachelor of Ministry
Joshua cultivates a safe, non-judgemental, and empathetic counselling space that allows clients to be themselves. Josh has always felt drawn to hear people’s stories, believing that sharing stories is what makes us human and creates opportunities for healing and growth.
With a background in pastoral care, hospital chaplaincy, and other volunteer roles, Josh has worked in areas where he can bring his safe presence and listening skills to help people sort through situations of upheaval, move towards being unblocked, solve complex intrapersonal problems, and tap into our resources and become empowered to live life to the full.
His own story has interested him in being in touch with our own sense of worth and power and unpacking stories in our lives where we have been disempowered. He is drawn to person-centred approaches, Emotion-Focused Therapy and Narrative Therapy in particular as part of an integrated approach to counselling.
