Esther is qualified Social Worker with over 20 years’ experience working in the Human Services predominately in the foster care sector, currently working as a Family Therapist. She has experience in mentoring and supervising social work students in a professional capacity.

Esther has a genuine care and interest in people and has worked with people from all walks of life. She is a warm and relational person, able to put people at ease. Esther creates a safe space to support and sensitively challenge thoughts, attitudes, and behaviours to facilitate healing, growth and learning. She is not daunted by ethical and difficult situations but approaches challenges with curiosity, a nonjudgmental approach and with care.

Esther moved from the UK to Australia with her husband over 20 years ago and has two children. She is currently studying her Master of Counselling and in her spare time enjoys camping, travel and spending time with her family and friends. On-going personal development is a commitment Esther has made to ensure she herself is flourishing in order to be able to help others flourish in their life.

Esther uses several modalities in her work including Person Centred Therapy (PCT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Solution Focused Therapy. Esther is especially interested in Attachment work, Cultural Responsive practice and working with Trauma.
